• I don't know what kind of marks you are talking about…can you describe them, and where they are on her feet?

  • You posted "biting herself" is she chewing her feet? Are they red marks or sores from chewing on herself? Are you saying that she is doing it because she is bored? Where is she kept when you are not playing with her or not at home?

  • If she's chewing on her feet & developing sores from that it could be an allergy. I found this great site yesterday as my poor little boy started doing this. His dad is taking him to the vet today to get him checked out & determine what kind of allergy (food or environment).

    Check it out.

  • thx for the site

  • That looks like "lick granuloma" my parents had a mix with it. I think it is just a nervous habit. They tried meds, bitter apple etc. I would speak to your vet.

  • For sure that is a "lick granuloma"… could be nervous habit or it could have just started as a bite or little itch.. that she kept working at and working at until it is what it is now... I too would suggest a Vet visit....

But if a nervous habit, again would have to ask what her daily routine is like?

  • sleep, play, stay outside n sleep for an hour than walk around the block twice, sleep again, then i play with her for about5 more hours, then its good night

Have you notice any time that she seems uneasy or stressed? Did you notice any bites she might have gotten from bugs or spiders? Especially if she is outside? I believe that you need to take her to a Vet to get these healed up… and it could very well be bug bites that she was itching and now is just "worrying" them to big open sores...

  • Do you by chance have red ants?… they can cause some really nasty bites...

  • Ouch! It looks like some sort of irritation (bug bite?) and then she overgroomed it. A couple of ours will pull all the hair out around a cut or scrape, and then try to keep it clean, but especially the bottom one, it looks like she went a little overboard.

  • we dont have any red ants in the area that we chain her up in. but there are some around my garden which is way in the back yard. but i do take her to this pond in my neighborhood where there are lots of bugs

I would take her to the Vet… these will not go away by themselves
