Happy Winter Solstice!

Off Topic

  • It's discouraging that there have been so few new posts of late. I'd like to wish everyone on the forum a Happy Winter Solstice, The days will be getting longer from here on, so it's time to celebrate the return of the sun. Merry Christmas, season's greetings, and best wishes for the New Year!

  • It is sad, I agree. Happy Solstice and cheers to longer days (I need every minute I can to fit in work and now school (I finally decided to return after a decade and am finishing my first degree in May and onto the next one!) happy holidays to you and everyone else!

  • Happy Solstice, merry Christmas and New Years, Seasons greetings. Yes, incredibly quiet here. I never check the facebook page so not sure if people simply moved on to there or other groups.

Good for you on your degree! What is it in and what is next?

As for more sun… we need some cold down here. 72 on Christmas? Ug.

  • Hi Debra,
The first degree is my associates in business and starting July I will start at Westfield State University for my Bachelors in Business with a concentration in management and a minor in marketing. If I can plan it the same as my Associates I hope to be done in 18 months. The goal is to move forward to buy a home soon. Oakley deserves a fenced in yard and maybe even a fireplace….been stagnant in my career for too long and need growth (personally, professionally and financially..haha)
I feel guilty for how busy I am but I do my best with oak and keep reminding him this is for him as much as me....weird to think of myself as a college student at my age..lol

I hear you, Christmas was mid sixties in MA...I will take one warm winter here after last years record snow!

  • You'll do fine and so will he. Toys and special attention when you are home. ((hugs)) It's never too late to make career choices. MANY people in their 30s, 40s and even 60s are in college now :)

I was able to spend the special day with my local family since I live in their home. It was a really special day...:Prince's first Thanksgiving. Dave even got him a special Turkey topper for dinner. So thankful for family and friends. My little guy is so special to me, I am thankful every day for him and I tell him so. Then I get that look from him.."I love you too, Momma".

@sharronhurlbut: My 2 b's in the PNW like the snow much better than the rain. Me, not crazy for the snow, even tho it is very pretty when your warm inside. Yes they will still go out to potty reliably when there is snow. Snow is not wet on the feet. Rain is another story though…...they give you the....omg you know I am melting right?....look

LOL Fran, skin has to be nice and crispy to eat. :) But we'd fight over dressing! We had 3 varieties– traditional, one with extra herbs and then one with oysters. My daughter has always refused oysters in dressing, but since we bought ready made at Harry's Market I got a pan of each. She tried it, agreed best she had ever had.
