Let's also consider that when you chase your dog, the dog thinks it's a game and will run away from you. Like... "you can't catch me!" Man, Basenji's can bolt! On the other hand, when you are the one running away, the dog instinctively joins you because you are part of the dog's family/pack. This is not to be confused with a learned command to chase an assailant, in Police work, for example. That would be a totally different game of chase.

What size crate would you guys say is best for an adult Basenji to comfortably stay in for a few hours at a time? I'm looking at various places to get an idea of crate pricing, and there are so many different sizes. :o

My personal preference is a 300 series size wire crate… I use General Cage brand that fold flat when not in use or traveling. The size I use is 21 3/4 W x 30 L x 24 H
I have used these at home for all my B's over the years.. I also have that size in the RV for travel... However in my Van I use the small 200 size... which is fine for short trips... or shows... easier to lug around at shows...
