@matt_dl That is good to hear ! I think there are puppies in the North of UK. The demand last year meant some people bred imported dogs to get on the band wagon, maybe. Anyway there are many first time breeders with possible un-health tested breeding pairs. Do make sure the parents are health test by OFA for Fanconi and PRA at the very least. And that they are registered with our Kennel Club.

I'm looking to get a male, hopefully red or tri this breeding season. I've fallen in love with the breed after researching for the last 3 years for the perfect dog. I've been on basenji.org for some time now and have read and watched everything I've found out there.
We're a family of 3 in Salem, Massachusetts 2 adults and a soon to be 6 y/o little girl. We live an outdoorsy lifestyle taking frequent hikes and backpacking excursions both as a family and by myself. We're so excited we've even started getting items off the checklist and getting things ready to ensure the smoothest transition.
