    I bought the Salmon A La Veg. My dog has never ate this before. Does anyone buy this? The store even had it on sale at $3.00 off a bag. The store where I buy from-a health food store does not carry the grain free or I would have bought it nor did it carry the Whitefish & Potato. The store has good prices and when there is a sale the food is an excellent buy, both kibble and canned.

    Logical, not "chicken little the sky is falling" thinking. Thanks DonC. I hate companies being gutted without evidence. And I agree, if I had dogs - especially prone to the disorder -- on just grain-free, I might switch for added protection.

    @dcmclcm4: Blueberries can cause the stool to change color in humans but I do not know if this is true for dogs. Do not panic if it does. Jennifer Oh, and in the muttloaf, the blueberries can look like mold. So I always warn the hubby if he happens to be feeding.

    @youngandtired: Why is wheat and grains bad for dogs, do they have a hard time digesting them. Sometimes Sahara loves to have some of my peanut butter on wheat toast, is that bad for her. She loves it, so how about it??? The wheat and grains they use as fillers in dog food is not like the wheat you have in your bread… and little toast and PB will never hurt her... And yes they have a hard time digesting the fillers they put in dog food, because IMO, it of lesser quality and if just what it appears, a filler.. Dogs are meat eater... for the most part
