Sounds like it is best to just avoid anything made in China and if that is true for all dog treats then it should be kept in consideration for human food as well.

Shelley, Bungwa is one of my males from my last litter, he is named after Bungwa of Blean. His full name is Antefaa Bungwa Forest Glory. I've not been in a hurry to get my males tested as I don't intend to breed again. However I get stud enquiries so couldn't consider accepting until he is tested and this applies to my 3 males. You may meet him at the NBS sometime but as you may know I'm not ultra keen on showing. Does any one know whether Gary Johnston has published the details of the direct test as I want to forward the link to Jeff Sampson of the UK Kennel Club? They'll obviosly require published information.

to serenjane, We live north of Jax in Yulee and use the nasau veterniary hospital . We see Dr Kim Carter. She has been great in our basenji's care She took care of our old basenji until he passed and she has had our new babies since they were a pup. I don't know if she is the best basenji vet in our area but she had certainly been great for our kids. Ours are not the first ones she has had. We always see her because her partner is not as versed in basenji's as kim is. Good luck on your hunt for a vet. I am sure there are vets in jax with lots of basenji experience. if you ask around you'll find the right one for you. Word of mouth helps alot.
