I once saw a basenji clicker trained to scratch at the proper grade sand paper that was glued to a board. The basenji even curled his paw so the pads were not injured. This kept the nails perfectly trimmed. Perhaps the scratching/digging behavior could be re-directed into the more productive behavior and nail clipping would never be an issue!
Incredible Climbing Basenji

Check out this video of 9 week old Jaroufa's Glamazon at Rift Valley is quite the agility queen. She went to her new home today thanks to my good friend/ driver and combat tracking mentor, Frank Merritt. We will miss the dark brindle girl but she is going to one of the top racing homes in the country and that is what this litter was all about.

She'll definitely need high fences at her new home - how agile!

Uh-Oh that one is T-R-O-U-B-L-E

Your forgot multiple exclamation point!!! But, this litter was all about agility and ability. What was amazing is all the pups had varying degrees of similar ingeniousness.
-
yep, that's what my Z did the first few minutes I had her. Just wait til she climbs the kitchen counters. I'd just grin and say "Yea! That's my 'gility dog!"
-
Jaroufa is Kathryn Ladick's kennel name. Is she the one that has your puppy?
-
Yes, that is correct.
-
Wow, she really has the 'monkey-gene', and fast too!
-
Hehe, she's a monkey for sure! Our boy climbed over a 5 ft baby gate at 6 months and we had no idea how. Wish we had a spycam! Good looking dogs!
