• He is beautiful…love the pic of him sitting there all muddy and cute 🙂

  • Great pictures, Fran!

I have a feeling Blaze may be another one of those non-standard Basenjis when it comes to getting wet/dirty. He isn't bothered by rain and I've seen him walk through puddles of water (both of which Maxx avoided like the plague). It'll be interesting to see his reaction to the ocean when we take him to the Washington State coast later this summer.

Yes, I think some basenjis just go by the fact they are 'dogs', and will get into anything.

Oh… love the Washington coast... very similar to our coast here. The first time Kipawa experienced the ocean, he was trying to catch the waves. Of course he also tried drinking the salty ocean, and was not happy with the taste. He shook his head side to side, really fast. Then he looked at me with a look that kind of said "hey, what's going on? Someone ruined my water"!

You'll have a great time. Remember to bring a camera and take lots of pics. 🙂

  • Okay, I may be biased but my non biased opinion is HE's Adorable. Hugs to Kipawa! Love the mud photos.

Congrats on Scarlett's graduation! Are you planning more obedience classes? We are, simply because they are great for Kipawa's mind - they really tire him out.

Yes, our basenjis are maturing. We got a call from our vet yesterday reminding us that Kipawa needs to be neutered. Once again, we mentioned that we are looking at another 2 - 4 months. When are you planning to spay Scarlett?

Let Scarlett know that her brother looks forward to seeing her in the future!

  • I would like to send her to more classes but planned to postpone it due to the fact I was expecting her to be close to her first cycle…not this close were my hopes!

We look forward to seeing Kipawa as well, a lot has changed since he slept on our laps so many months ago!

  • I loved the pictures so much!

He is so cute, he would love our Chaffie… getting wet together!
