Started a Small Business!! Please support me!

  • So… I've become an independent stylist for Stella & Dot jewerly. I'm so nervous and excited all at once! It's a great opportunity to earn a little extra money, free jewelry, and have fun too. I'm totally NOT a salesperson by nature- so this is a big leap for me!

If you would, please check out my website at:
    www.stelladot.com/barrick
And tell me what you think!! Shop some really pretty pieces of jewelry- half of which are under $50! If you're in the area, consider hosting a party and earning hundreds in free jewelry. If you're not in the area, you can buy directly from the website. If you love what you see, join my team and we can have fun together!!

Again, any feedback you have is greatly appreciated!! :)
Hugs to my Basenji family!! And thanks for supporting me in this new adventure!!
    :)

  • Looks like great stuff. I am not in your area but will see if i can't find something for myself…and maybe for my mother too..
    Congrats on your new adventure..

  • Here are some of the items from the fall catalog! :) Let me know what you think!! Thanks!

  • Beautiful, but a little too fancy for this hillbilly! ;)
I love the gold triple hoops and the gold fillagree earrings. Those would look nice with flannel shirts, jeans, and boots - seriously, I would wear them! Actually, I would wear the earrings the one day I dress nicely - on Sunday for church.

Some of the jewelry reminds me of things my mother had when I was young - I'd play dress up and wear her "diamond" bracelet like the one in the photo you posted.

The jewelry is in vogue and what city women are wearing these days. I know you'll do well and have fun meeting new people. Good luck with your business.

  • Thanks so much for your feedback! I think the collections has a little something for everyone!! Not all of it is super fancy. There are a lot of everyday items… and some really good ideas for gifts!

Let me know if you're looking for something in particular-- if you like necklaces, bracelets, rings, earrings, brooches... Silver, Gold... I will find something for every occasion!

Here are some other more delicate necklaces you might like... :)

  • Now, I like the necklaces. I see my Daughter-in-law wearing one! I seldom wear more than earrings, a watch, and a gold antique necklace I've had for 25+ years. I love big hoop earrings with everything!

Seriously, I live in an area where dressing up is putting on a new pair of jeans.
    ;)

Oh, I looked at jewelry on-line at Bloomingdales, Nordstroms, and Neiman Marcus, and thought about you. Your line is right in style.

  • Well, there are lots of things that go great with jeans!! Start a new trend!! I'm a Georgia gal too– Southern women, gotta love em!!

Perhaps I should be more clear…this is not about me, it's about work. We have this new form that we have to fill out that asks about "persons living in the household that YOU have a duty to support". So..do you have a duty to support your 27 year old son? your nephew? Your girlfriends children? Legally, do you have a "duty to support" anyone other than minor children that are biologically yours? Living in the household, of course. BTW: I hate these new forms, it comes from the state and just goes to show how much they have no clue about local stuff.

My friend belongs to the Society, not her Singer! Just reread my post and realized it sounded like the dog did, lol. He's a smart boy, but not up for signing anything legal - yet…

@BasenjiDiva: Maybe a sheet of plywood to cover the door? (We put our dogs in wire crates when we leave the house and while they tolerate them when we gone, they cry loudly when they know we are around. I don't think we could entertain guests with their dramatics going on. ) While our dogs like and tolerate our little grandsons, there are times I feel like they need to be separated. Then I put high baby gates up to secure the dogs in the kitchen. Is that possible in your home? It is a bit of a hassle for people to go in and out of the kitchen but it is very doable and beats the alternative. And the dogs can see what's going on. Pat We have this problem with Querk too. He is almost never crated, except when we have a big group of people over. What we have done that works is put his crate in a room as far away from the gathering place as possible, and close the door…and let him cry it out. He usually quiets down after he realizes that he is in for the duration of the party. He will start up again if he hears someone. I have been known to put his crate in the van too, if the weather is cooperative.
