Adoption contract

Basenji Talk
  • Hello,

I was just wondering. After you get everything done, or before (depending on what you want to do yourself) - all the health tests done, the stud found, the puppies on a waiting list, and so on and so forth,- how do you come up with the adoption contract? What information should someone put into it? Why do different kennels have different contracts/applications. How do you go about pricing a puppy? What is considered responsible breeding and what is considered BYB/puppy mill.

Please be kind and do not attack me with accusations and lectures about breeding. I am only asking in a wanting-to-learn way. I appreciate all the help in advance and i look forward to hearing from other basenji lovers.

    Thanks so much,
    miss pod

How long have you been in this house? Have you tried setting up a place to sleep and hang out downstairs to see if he eventually becomes growly even on the first floor? All electrolytes, including IONIZED CALCIUM are within normal range?

She looks very sweet, whatever her parentage. We had a lab for 12 years. Sweet mild-mannered dog, a little needy and shed year-round. But great off leash, unlike the curlytails. Labs do tend to be mouthy and need something to chew on more than many breeds, but if she's older (older than 3) she may be beyond that. Either way, good luck with your new friend. Does she have a name yet?
