Janneke, thanks for your comments. Your answers totally help me make sense of your situation, and what Tillo is doing. I would be the same as you - the human might want the dog to get their points, but is it the best for the dog? In your situation, I certainly agree with your train of thought. I am a big Tillo fan, so naturally want him to do as well as he can in any show, but I can see how his behaviour could lead to worse things down the road if he learns that he can growl and get no reprimand for it. You are doing the best thing.

…......Well, Best Novelty in Show!
Went to a fun show yesterday with both the dogs, we had a lovely, but very long day. There was a HUGE turnout and the classes were massive!
Roxy won Best Trick out of lots of dogs and then went on to win 'Best Novelty in Show' at the end! Clever girl! Her tricks included; twist, spin, jump, roll over and both paws.
Here are a few pictures of her with her well deserved prizes....
And here she is in her usual position! Mooching for attention from everyone!
