Dear Sonny,
Aren't you afraid that the other basenjis will chase you dressed like that?
Your fellow curly tail and admirer,
Zest!
Tika came with my family (extended family, and friends) on an Easter picnic. We had 4-wheelers, 6-wheelers, Razors, and dirt bikes, with about 7 other dogs. It was just an open area, sand dunes and rocks, and Tika was off her leash the entire day, with no problem. She played so hard that today she is doing nothing but lying around, sleeping! She chased after me on a 4-wheeler one time, but soon turned around and returned to our base camp. She was very good at staying at base-camp with adults, dogs, and kids!

Sounds like all had a great time. An ATV….. now that's the way to exercise a Basenji! My Buddy loves the mud at the dog park. He plays with the Labs in it too.
Yes, it was a blast. And yes, I am thinking I will take Tika for more ATV runs! haha Now is that lazy of me or what?? Does your Basenji like water? Or just mud? Tika will run in the mud all day, but forget water!

He's good with water and rain. We sometimes walk in the light rain and he just shakes every once in a while. He'll go in the ocean and creeks too.
That last picture looks like another basenji "bendy head" photo. Nice shots, thanks for sharing.
Oh, I wish Tika would go into water! She swam in the lake near my house once, and that was it. Now she avoids all water at all cost (except mud puddles). I have learned if the bath water is super warm, she likes it. I would love to see a pic of your Basenji in the ocean! That's amazing!
Kipawa, Tika loves to cuddle like that and sleep on either my chest or my husbands at home. That shot was me holding her at the picnic, because one of the dogs would not leave her alone (a male dog who took a liking to Tika - luckily she is fixed, but he was not!)
Great pictures.
We brought Otis along on a 4 wheel trip through the woods a few months ago..he loved it, although he looked as if he was going to loose his lunch..it was very bumby.
Looks like you had a great day
