Hi all. All the puppies have gone to their new homes. The last one to leave was the red male, King. He went Thursday to leve in CA. All are now making new slaves. Everyone has good things to say about them. As we have said the litter was smart and loving. We will miss them, but they all needed to be in their own homes. The day King left, and we got all of our livingroom back my guys found their spots and slept the rest of the afternoon away. They didn't miss the pups at all! They even helped pack they bags. Okay, Brat will LIST basenji mixes, and they sometimes help with transport. You absolutely should contact for pure basenjis in shelthers or need. :)

We are lucky enough to have several of the pack in our Sunday group. Last Sunday Butler (Batboy) and Kizzie were there, we also see Kongo (Afrika) and Flash on occasion. Kizzie (5 months old when captured) was always so shy, even at the park she hung back and her folks sometimes had difficulty catching her to leave, but Sunday she was right in the group, ran in a big 23-basenji run, and came right to her 'mom' easily, what a change. It was a thrill to see her playing with the other basenjis and being so close to the humans, coming to her folks to be petted. Wow, what a lucky basenji! Butler (Batboy) was only 8 days old when captured, so he has grown up with humans and is not at all shy, comes right up to get petted and is really bonded with his human and basenji brother (an older "Holland" dog, they look very much alike). It's great that all the adopters have a group to share successes and challenges.

This is just my opinion…I like to fly dogs to their new homes if possible. Car run are ok...but I always worry about accidents, or a dog getting loose. With the plane, its a lot quicker.
