    I can't listen to that, it would wake my girl up and well... I'm not into a "sing along" just now. ;) I will say that many canines howl and yodel and bay (at the moon, whenever a fire truck passes, etc.). I'm not certain that any one breed is distinctive enough to have a sound all their own, but many a proud owner would probably assert so.

    We use ones from Rukka. Not sure if they’re available everywhere but they are they best ones we have tried (others always fell off, especially in deep snow). I think having two Velcro closures on each sock has been key. I also prefer the soft shell ones as our B seems to accept them more and they don’t twist as much as the ones with a hard sole.     Debra, the pit bull is the neighbors dog. It was a rare occurance the neighbor was invited over and in his drunken state decided against my worries about Oakley being an un neutered mature male, to bring his dog over. I would definitely agree if it was my friends dog that this happened with, not to bring Oakley.

    Kona looked around at this video. Some of the other ones on YouTube really get her excited, this one was more curiosity than anything else. It is amazing how basenji's sound so different….Kona's noises are sometimes almost inaudible. For example, if we are talking to our neighbors outside and she is on the leash she will baroo to try and get them to play with her and 3/4 of the time they never hear her!! We hear her every time, but then again she is our baby! :)
