Comic-Con San Diego anyone?

Off Topic
  • Hey everybody,
This may be a long shot but is anyone going to Comic Con this month? I am sooo excited as I go every year and it just gets better and better. Last year alone there were over 120,000 from all over the country/world attending this convention.
For those not familiar its a huge pop culture con that celebrates things such as comics, sci fi, movies, tv, anime, horror, fantasy, art, celebs, toys, porn, costumes, video games, animation and so on. Its pretty funny when the entire downtown San Diego is just a sea of nerds everywhere u look.
This year I hope to buy some old school 80's toys Gremlins, Ghostbusters, looking for an old crusty rubicks cube.

  • My husband went some years ago.
    Enjoyed it greatly…
Lots of ways to spend $$$ down there..

Sorry, to keep bringing this up. I am good friends with artist's fiancee. They are getting married on the 18th of this month. It would be a great wedding gift if the comic got lots of support. http://www.smallpressidol.com/forum/topicview/misc/round_3_soul_bound.htm Please take the time to vote today. They are trying to stay above the "Dreaded Line" so they get to at least show off their cover art in the publication. If they do really well, they may win a wild card spot in Round 4. Just staying safe from the "Dreaded Line" would be great.

Wow! I haven't looked at a comic book for around 35 years. Things have sure changed since Betty and Veronica, Jughead and Superman. There were a series of comics I loved that were called something like "The Classics" - comic forms of Romeo and Juliet, Wuthering Heights and A Tale of Two Cities. I spent hours looking at the artwork and reading the stories over and over again. Though I just can't get into the Fantasy genre of things, I can appreciate the skill involved. Good luck to your friend!

That area is lovely. We adopted Fiji from a woman in Oxnard, and I think there may be a breeder there. We do have a big basenji community here in San Diego - 3+ hours south of where you'll be - pretty long drive but we'd love to see you! :D

I would think that if you posted that or dog owner considered, you would have a ton of folks coming to see your place. Good luck.

Hi Bella, We're from Frederick, MD, which isn't too far from the east side of WV. Shelby isn't a purebred B but she is a cute labrasenji. Where in WV are you? I also haven't seen too many basenjis here in MD. In fact most people don't know anything about basenjis and have never heard of the breed. This forum is a Godsend.
