I dont know in terms of distance but mine usually go at least an hour and have gone 2 or more if its cool. I think they would walk all day if I had the time because they never want to go back home though once we get home they will plop down and go to sleep like they are exhausted. Gee mom is just so mean for dragging them all over the neighborhood and keeping them away from their sleep. As was mentioned chief being tri (9 months) feels the heat more than my r/w zoe but now that the days are cooler he keeps up with her fine.
Ziggy gets a B sister!

For all those who know Ziggy (especially the Laurel Canyon B Gang) – news flash! Ziggy is going to get a B sister!
Like Zig, she's a retired show dog. Her AKC name is Reveille Traffic Pattern, but she goes by "Patti" (nothing against anyone named Patti, but I'll definitely pick a new name fo her).
I'm picking her up in 10 days in Auburn, Washington, and will post pics when the new girl is in the house. Woo hoo!

Congratulations! Having more than one basenji in the house means double trouble but at the same time is well worth it.

Congrats!! Sounds great.. a second basenji!

Congratulations to you & Ziggy!
I recently went the same route and added a boy (Brando - also a retired show dog) as playmate to Ruby. If it goes anything like it has gone at my house, you are in for a blast and so is Ziggy.
