So apparently the 2 runs for a JC cannot be on the same day under the same event number, even if it was 2 different judges.
The club secretary alerted me of the error a couple days ago. She said the AKC is very stubborn about it too.
And come to think of it, I should have known. I'd read the rules before. So anyway, it was by accident that Zip got 2 green ribbons in the same day and she will have to do her second JC run at another event in the future.
The secretary is kindly refunding my $$ and giving us a free entry for that coursing club. Hopefully we will be able to take advantage of that free entry in May: the event is the same weekend as DP's college graduation and a week before we move across the country. We'll see.
I have to disagree… we do two JC's in the same day with two different judges all the time... we did it last year for the Nationals... They were submitted at JC A and B. As long as the club "had applied for two JC's tests" with AKC it is possible. However, if the club only had approval and an event number for only one, then they are correct... you can't run twice. They would have had to apply for "two" JC tests on the same day...
