Kip was from the Dogs Trust (rescue centre) didn't know anything about him, Somebody on our local park mentioned Basenji's and it was only when we saw the pictures on this site that we realised how similar he looks.

Don't know who is more trouble Kip or Kippy_whip โ€“ pesky teenagers --:D

I have three teenagers {and one child that is 20, so not far out of the teensโ€ฆ.}, and two basenjis.

The Basenjis on their worst day are far easier than the teenagers on theirs. LOL :p

And to think, I still have two kids left to become teenagers.

My little basenji cross lying on all his toys at once!

How many toys do they need? My guess would be far more than we can afford! LOL

  • I asked Zpuppy this question - How many toys do you need?

    Her reply?

    "All of them"

  • Medjai's answer is as many as can fit in his corner, even if they are shredded up.

Their basket, their corner, MY corner, the middle of the floor, under the table, under the chair, in the crate, in the kitchen, in the living room,on my lap, under my feetโ€ฆ....

ARE there enough toys in the stores to satisfy these guys? I'm thinking no.

And even when new toys arrive, the old ones cannot be given up!

  • I think he's saying "one more"! ๐Ÿ˜‰

  • Medjai got a hold of my empty gallon of tea.

  • I loved that. I only joined this site tonight. Your laws just say it all for me. I was reprimanded by an elderly couple on a country park near my home today because my basenji stole the foil cases that their pies had been in ha ha.

    @Mia:

haven't you ever read the Basenji property laws?

    1. If I like it, it's mine
    2. If it's in my mouth, it's mine
    3. If I had it a little while ago, it's mine
    4. If I can take it from you, it's mine
    5. If it's mine, it must never be yours.
    6. If it looks like mine, it's mine
    7. If I saw it 1st, it's mine
    8. If it's edible it's mine
    9. If you have something and put it down, it's mine
    10. If I chew something up, all the pieces are mine
    11. If it's broken, it's yours ๐Ÿ™‚

  • We posed the question to Sophie last night has she dug through her toy box, her answer was "the right one".

hahaha! And the right one is always on the bottom of the toy basket, so they all have to come out and be strewn through the house! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ ๐Ÿ™‚

very true kip has a toy box but all his toys seem to end up in doorways for people to trip over  the toys he wants are always the hard ones to get to :p ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

  • im going to try and get some action agility shots soon ^_^

Pearl has baskets of toys. She likes her toys!

  • Cory and Jayden generally ignore store bought toys. If they do like one, they like it to the point that it becomes an issue in the house and I have to remove it. (I always buy two and if they like itโ€ฆthey want both.) What they REALLY like to play with are socks stolen from the laundry basket, Duplo blocks (the large Legos), my grandson's much loved teddy bear, sippy cups, little Matchbox type cars (actually they like the aircraft better than the cars/trucks), my reading glasses, ballpoint pens, paper towels, and tissues. Actually....around here we call tissues "Basenji popcorn".

  • Gossy would say - there are never enough toys! At a pinch even a piece of paper will do.
