Livonia Show, end of August. Anyone going?

I wasn't sure quite where to put this, but here goes.
I have entered my puppy into his first real dog show and its the Livonia, MI show at the end of August. Will anyone be going? I hope to be going with his breeder Linda Lipford, but would also like to be able to meet up with any one else basenji related, lol. I am VERY new to showing, this will be his first show. Any help from more experienced B people is great. So, who all will be going so I can keep a lookout for them?If Linda and Kelli (she is his co-owner) are not able to make it, it would be appreciated if I could stick with one of you and learn the ropes.

Hey Charlene - I live in Livonia! I'd like to go to the show if I can. Do you have details or a website where I can find the information? Duke and Daisy are B-mixes, and I don't have a shred of showing know-how, but it'd be fun to meet up with you and some B folks to learn a thing or two. I have met Kelli a couple times at the the Pet Expo in Novi.

It only gives the location, the show ground map, and the judges list. It doesn't list rings or times yet, that will be in the premium list after you enter. I will be going both days, and will be staying with Linda as she lives so close. It would be great to meet up with other B people!
This will be my first outdoor show, and I cannot wait to meet everyone there! Just look for a 19 year old girl with short hair, kinda pudgy and looks completely lost, it will be me!~Charlene

FYI, ring times and ring numbers are usually posted on Infodog's site about a week before the show….

Ah…I see the show is in Chelsea on the Labor Day weekend. I thought it was in Livonia! Darn - I can't go 'cause we're going up north on those dates. Would be nice to meet up at another show. Good luck showing your puppy - I'm sure it will be fun and you'll learn so much.

Oh, darn! I will be coming down for the weekend. I live about two and a half hours north. I really wanted to meet up with as many B people as I can as I do live so far out of the way. Maybe another show. i have a couple more weekends planned. Will have to see how it goes.

Due to last minute issies my entry may not go through. I have the shows paid for, but I may not have a place to go/stay down there. I am trying to pay for all of this myself, but if I can't stay with my breeder (which was the original plan) I may not be able to go there at all. I just do not have the funds for my own hotel room.
If some miracle happens and I can go I impatiently await meeting you all there.

Who is your breeder?

Zumi's breeder is Linda Lipford. she did not enter the show, and decided to go to a lure course or something instead. However, Zumi's co-owner said i may be able to stay with her. I may still make it.

Cool! I know Linda….in fact I was there when her bitch, Boo was born :)
Hopefully you can make it. I am planning on being there on Sunday.
