I too have seen the movie (and cried my beady little eyes out sniffle). I am fortunate to have a friend in California who sent me her copy to borrow. I was very reluctant to send it back, however -

We got the movie after getting Jazzy - I'd never heard of it, but Bryan mentioned it. I managed to find it online and ordered a copy.
I know it's a sweet story, but my kids found themselves laughing at a lot of it. They thought it rather "hokey" {esp. the crying}.
I'm not sure it would have inspired me to get a Basenji. The sort of photos and stories we share here are what drew me to the breed.Still, it's neat that it brought the Basenji to the attention of people . . .
