@debradownsouth - Correct Debra, many breeders will say that and there is really nothing to stop them. However check out Sally's pedigree sight the only ones that are noted with the DNA results for Fanconi or PRA are the ones that were tested by OFA, not any of the ones noted as clear by parents. There is really nothing wrong with saying clear by parents but each breeder makes their own decision about this. For me, I would prefer to test.
Looking for a 4-6 yo Basenji
-
Hi,
I live in Boise and have lived with? tormented by? Basenjis for about 30 years. I am currently looking to adopt another Basenji about 2 to 6 years old.
My current Basenji is a 6 year old sterile male. Some time ago our pack mate had a stroke and died. She was about 14. We are both keen on adopting another pack member.

@shankara - Best to try and contact breeders and see if they have any adults they are looking to place. You can find breeders by state at www.basenji.org
-
Contact your local Kennel Club(s) as well. They can tell you if there is any club members in your area that breeds and/or shows Basenjis. That's how I found my girl!
p.s. sorry to hear of your loss...

Here is a direct link to the BCOA breeder directory. If none of the nearby breeders lists are able to help you, contact the Breeder Liaison for help. [email removed] Denise keeps a list of breeders that do not want their kennels openly advertised.

I think the nearest breed club to you is in Washington. The Evergreen Basenji Club, http://www.evergreenbasenjiclub.org/
