    Hi,
    I'm new to the forum and looking for a possible basenji meet-up in the Pittsburgh area. I have a 4 year old neutered male (he's my fourth basenji) and he loves to run. Anybody nearby?

    Hi - yes I’m also in the Pittsburgh area - near Ben Avon - you? I have a 5 year old male who loves to run and a 6 year old girl who - not so much.

    Where would you think could be a good place to meet?

    I'm northeast of the city in Lower Burrell. I'm not familiar with your area, but are there any parks or enclosed spaces near you? I don't mind a drive.

    There is a dog park in Bellevue. Is that too far? It’s not usually very crowded. That’s why I like it.

    Found this thread and figured I would respond. I have an almost 1yr old Male (27 November) and would be interested in meeting up with other Basenji owners and their dogs. I live near Quantico and quite honestly don't see any other Basenjis ever. Will drive to most parks in the NOVA area.

    I'm so sorry. I didn't realize you had responded. I thought I'd get an email. Zoey is definately NOT good off leash. It would be great to find a fenced area…I know there is a dog park (with a small dog area) near me, but I don't know how you feel about driving. (I've commuted for years, so I'm used to it). I could probably call Bear Mountian the park to see if they allow dogs. I'm working tomorrow, but I'll try to find out on Tuesday. Also, there is some sort of an event in Woodstock, NY (beautiful town), sponsored by the Rip Van Winkle Basenji Club. I am totally new to all of this stuff, so I'm not sure what goes on there, but here is a link....I thought you might be interested.     We will try to keep the 6th open. Depending on how things go next weekend we might shoot to go done on Sunday.
