Young Female Basenji looking for a new home.

Basenjis For Sale or Wanted
  • We live in California. She is a beautiful, sweet, red and white dear companion. Very loving. My daughter's career has picked up and she is heart broken that she has less time to spend with her. I believe she will be two this December. She comes from champion lines. If interested, please contact us.

  • Have you been in contact with your dog's breeder yet? They may be able to assist you with the re-homing process.

  • Is she still available?

  • Have you contacted her breeder? all my dogs have in the contract that they must be returned to the breeder before being offered for rehoming.

How much are you asking for rehoming? Do you have pictures? We're in CA also, in the Bay Area. Where are you located?

Could you please contact me and give me more information ….

i have had numerous basenjis .. starting out with my two RAMSES and NUBIA
they had pups .. and although they were not planned pregnacies .. went to very good homes..
I still have some contact with one family .....that bought two of our pups ...

My beloved Leeloo and MAx died last year ..... and I'm sooo in need of having the pitter patter of Basenji feet run around in my empty house...

@hawk8875 - Those listing with AKC are paid advertisements. There is no requirement on who can pay to be listed. Go to www.basenji.org and then to find breeder and you can search by state. Breeders listed on there are members of the Basenji Club of America.

Glad things are settling down for you. Now is a great time to get on breeders puppy lists. Go to the Basenji Club and contact breeders in states close enough for traveling to. If you're interested in a bit older, be sure to ask if they have any or know of another breeder who may have gotten a puppy back that didn't work out. Good luck in your search.

Please do plenty of research before making a decision to have a Basenji. Where are you in the UK? - if near to me you are welcome to visit my Basenjis and talk Basenji talk. I'm no longer breeding but I think it's important to visit Basenji homes before making decisions. As Benkura says there don't seem to be any female pups available at present. The plus of that is that you've plenty of time to see as many Basenjis as you can. Most breeders are like me and would be pleased for you to visit with their Basenjis.

Hi, I talked to my daughter last night and she really does not want me to find him another home, even though he's making her sick, (she's allergic to him). She threatened to leave home if I did. She's 18 so she could. I guess we will try and keep him. The good news is I did find a place that will pick up and drop off dogs, take them for long walks in the woods, and let them play with other dogs for the day. All for just $17.00 a day. So at least he's not in a crate for 9 hours any more and he seems to really enjoy it. He runs to the person right away and is excited to go and comes back very happy and tired.
