Wonderful! We have 2 sisters (5 and 6) and we cannot imagine ever being B-lessβ¦.
Evening Everyone!

Salutations to everyone!
My name is Aristophanes and I am incredibly new to the forums. Perhaps it is premature of me, but I thought I would take the time to introduce myself nonetheless. Sunday will be the day I bring home my new pup. As you can imagine I am incredibly excited about her and I cannot wait to have her home. For those of you who are curious, I am in the Chicagoland area. My purpose tonight is more so to thank you all for the already tons of help you've been to me. Being able to read through the forum posts, hearing your stories, your struggles, and triumphs have been a boon. At first I was afraid of the unique challenge of the breed, but having read through all of your stories, I feel confident in my decision, if not in my own intelligence.
Regards,
Aristophanes -
Good luck on Sunday and please share pictures when the pup arrives!

We're picking up our pup on Sunday as well! Can't wait to swap photos.

Good luck and welcome. Who is your pups breeder? Many of us are related by our Basenjis.

I'll make sure to have some photos up when I get home today from work! Her breeder is Glenn Glazek out of Grand Haven Michigan. She is a gorgeous little brindle and her name is Nandi, which translates from Zulu to mean daddy's girl. Because lets face it I'm already smitten!

Lucky you, can't wait to see photo's.

Congrats and welcome. Hopefully your pup's sire and dam were DNA tested for Fanconi and PRA (among other health tests)β¦. and that you checked out the results (as they are public record) at www.offa.org. You need either their registered name and/or registration number.

I made her a little album. Don't worry there is plenty more to come
