  • We are a young couple, both full-time workers and part-time students.
Juniper is a brindle female we were blessed to receive from TarSha Basenjis in Arizona.
She is now 5 months old. Fanconi tested normal but she started her first heat two weeks ago so that has been interesting…

    9 weeks

Fishing story; "It was THIS big" - 12 weeks

    Squirrels aren't accustomed to tree-climbing dogs - 14 weeks

    Hiking - 15 weeks

    Just the other day

Note for mods: I already submitted basically this same thread but it never got posted after the "review" by mods (since I'm a brand new member, I guess). Hope this one actually makes it through!

she's precious! I don't know that it gets any easier denying a basenji. Mine is 12 yo and I still can't ignore his sweet brown eyes.

I look forward to your pictures. I'm a technophobe too - I keep telling myself I can do it but so far haven't posted any. One of my bitches was spoiled for the show ring by such a judge who didn't know how to approach a hound (although he was a Saluki judge and should have!). She was experienced at showing as well but was traumatised because when she backed away at his front on, silly voice approach she nearly fell from the table! Of course she blamed the fall on his approach. I worked on her intensively but to no avail. Yes, Basenjis on the whole are friendly and they never forget a friend either!

I sent you a private message with my info (phone number). We can arrange a visit. Also, when the weather cools down I'll let you know and you can come to a basenji pawtee! Laura

I live near the mountains in Colorado. There are some great trails with open space all around to let thme run around. Gosh I'm so jealous!! We don't have any plasce we could let our pooches loose. I would love a big open space sans any basenji prey :) that way they'll come back
