Congratulations from Lela and Binti!
My boy Khalani

That' s not to say he doesn't get into a lot of mischief, usually when my back is turned.
-
What a cutie pie! LOL on mischief, it goes with the breed.
-
Lol, you know what I find amazing about Khalani is that he has figured out that if my back is turned it's time to try and get away with the things he knows I wouldn't let him get away with if I was facing him. But give him a command to come or sit and he just looks at you with the expression of an answering machine " Hi I'm not home at the moment, if you'd like to leave a message and your number I 'll call you back".
-
Oh, I know that expression so well…he's a lovely looking boy (and there's no doubt about his gender - Lol!)

My dogs create diversions. One will go create trouble, while the other one feigns innocence. You put down whatever it is to get the troublemaker, then the innocent one will go steal what you set down!

Oh, how true is that? I only have one Basenji but I have a minpin as we'll. Because Basenji's usually operate their missions in silence my poor minpin barks when there is something going on and on too many occasions I tell off my min pin when clearly it was my Basenji who did it. I have cottoned on to that now and my Basenji doesn't like it…lol

Nice boy giving you his full attention in the photo.

What a CUTIE!!!!!! apparently the personality too! Have fun with him keep sending updates! PS: I know what you mean about doing things behind your back vs when you are watching (what Basenji owner doesn't!) But one day, let him 'tear up the paper in front of you (or whatever) and when he is finished, trade with a 'better toy'. He will realize he can't make you react and may stop one day…......it actually worked with Uzie and now he doen't see the joy of going into the garbage to get the wad of paper I just threw away...........

Lol, indeed! I think he was just excited about getting his photo taken
