Please tell me I'm not a "Crazy Basenji Lady"!

  • Does anybody else make their beds around their Bs? Please tell me I'm not the only one…

'Course he exited the bed at the click of the camera: "I shant be bothered at naptime. You know that, human."

(Shhh…Magnum doesn't know he's chubby, says he's "big-boned." He refuses to admit that he's only been "big-boned" for the last couple of years (he turned 9 in November). We don't speak of it anymore....it's a secret now, and we're working on it.)

  • LOL .. no your not my Sandie is still in the bed … and yes i made it around her

  • Sure she is. Welcome to the club. ;)

  • I know a few people who make them get up, make the bed, then give them a blanket to hide under during the day. Meh, I leave them in it.

  • you say "crazy basenij lady" like it's a bad thing.

  • Being described as "crazy" hurts my feelings a bit (Why? Hmmm…let me think on it). Just "Basenji Lady" will do, but I'm afraid it's too late!

  • Sometimes I leave it unmade because I know mid way through the day (when I'm home) it will get messed up when he digs in it…It's often a pick your battle type deal, so I let him have at it!

  • I made Cricket get up yesterday, and off of the bed to make it. Then I went to the bathroom. I could only listen to the destruction that the B500 caused. When I came out, the bed had two opposite corners of the fitted sheet on, the other two pulled to the middle. One pillow was against the bathroom door, the other pillow was in the walk in closet. The flat sheet was strung under the bed from one side clear through to the other. The quilt was crumpled on the floor, with the fuzzy blanket piled up on top of it. Some where in the pile was Cricket. I stood, staring for a few seconds, then shook my head and walked out. I told husband it was his turn to make the bed. He went in and just started laughing. Proof that he is a good man <3

I love it! Best laugh I have had all day. And yes, your husband is a good man! :)

  • ROFLMAO. well I can't even respond. I have my bed pinned with those HUGE Safety pins on the bottom and then one on the side about 2 ft up to stop Cara from doing the same thing. She doesn't usually remove the fitted sheet, but it too is pinned at the top on the underside of the mattress. We are indeed crazy dog folks. But I find the pinning far easier than remaking the bed several times a day.

  • Speaking as a crazy Basenji Lady with a Big Bones boy-cause he is Swedish and it gets cold there ! You are perfectly normal Darling!

Yes, Bungwa will toss any of his toys into the air and catch them but definitely will not catch anything I throw. He has no competition because the others just look and say 'Boooring'!!! Interesting about your best hunters being fetchers, Quercus. I wonder if there's a reason in it or whether it's a coincidence!?

Ono is a Hawaiian word, used to describe something that is 'the best' AND happens to be very basenji appropriate :) We hesitated naming her something that so strongly resembled 'no' but we don't use 'no' very much in our training, we say 'hey' to get their attention and then give them another cue to follow when we are redirecting their behaviour. The pups love the huge costco bed, and I love the great cedar smell :)
