Just looking at his size and stature, he is obviously far more confident than most Chihuahua's are and he has the front and back end (legs) that certainly look like those of a Basenji. Either way, he looks to be a very nice dog, bigger than his primary breed parent and certainly appearing to be slightly Basenji-ish. Handsome little brute he is! I'd get him I could, so you should!

You can definately see the Basenji in him by his colorings on his body and especially his face with the broen eyebrows. His neck is also long like a Basenji.

I do not think so but because his back is curved, I thought perhaps a Chi with Italian Greyhound. I wish they would have walked him a short distance. His hip, back and/or rear leg looks funny when he stands.

Yes, his backline is definitely Chihuahua, but he is much leggier. He doesn't carry himself like most Chihuahuas; he doesn't appear nervous or nippy; his colouring is Basenji. I really don't want to see him die in that shelter.
