  • I took my daughter and her friends (and the B of course) down to Utah lake. The water was soo warm! Still, I'd never seen a B that liked water - but after my daughter pulled away from the shore, there she went into the water to try to get to them. So later I took her out on the boat with my daughter holding on to her and she loved it! The next week we went camping and as I pulled away from the shore in the canoe, Samantha started wading into the water (this was a mountain lake at 9000ft - so the water was a bit cold!), then started swimming towards the canoe. She got out about 6' from shore and decided that this swimming stuff was not for her - she turned around and swam back. Here's a picture of her standing in the lake.

Well isn't she a sassy little thing? Thanks so much for the information. I had not heard of this one at all. I will Google it to get more info and find where to purchase! Deb

I can't listen to that, it would wake my girl up and well... I'm not into a "sing along" just now. ;) I will say that many canines howl and yodel and bay (at the moon, whenever a fire truck passes, etc.). I'm not certain that any one breed is distinctive enough to have a sound all their own, but many a proud owner would probably assert so.

<<it is="" a="" very="" valuable="" asset="" to="" have="" dog="" that="" will="" crate="" when="" it="" necessary.="">> I totally agree. It is so important that they don't flip out should they need to be crated at the vet, hotel or kennel, or in an evacuation emergency. I can think of a hundred instances where crates are important.</it>
