I loved this story when I saw it. It reminded me of this white cat that used to live near us years ago. We would buy catnip toys (one particular one) for our cats, and this cat would come into our place and take them. We were forever replacing them. By chance we finally met the owner and found out that white cat (we called him Thiefy) had a huge stash of these toys and that the lady never knew where he got them from.

@thunderbird8588: I realy hate to argue and i realy think opinion is so divided that people will have to agree to dissagree. I dont want to cause offence but must say that IMO most cats scratch to communicate there is a problem and they are unhappy. I can pet our cats without fear of being scratched. My neighbours cat however who is in our house more often than not is the type who will lash out and scratch. When stroking her we watch out for the signs. I know some cats are feisty , some scratch, some bite but we cant remove their teeth. As for de barking Dogs (something i have only just become aware of on the forum) why on earth would anyone want to do this. Maybe my views are idealistic but i do believe animals should be left as nature intended if at all possible If your neighbor has a cat that cannot be trusted to be petted w/out scratching or biting, they have a bigger issue than to declaw or not.

You nailed that one, vickilb. What these knuckleheads have accomplished is proving the theory that housecats are miniature lions and behave accordingly when proper stimulus is applied. On a lighter side, I had a kitten in 1986 named Mischief who came from a large litter. She was in the kitchen (only cat present) when I was making a ham sandwich one time, so I tossed her a piece of ham. She picked that one up, so I tossed her another…and another (she put her paw over it)...and another (another paw)...until she had a piece of ham in her mouth and one under each paw, including her back feet. She was splayed on the floor, but, by gosh, nobody was going to get her ham. I couldn't resist it….I tossed a last piece of ham onto the floor for her. With her mouth full and all four paws busy, she just gave me the most helpless look. Unfortunately, we didn't have you-tube back then. Great memory, though.

It takes around 30 minutes in real time to clean it. I guess it flushes with real water and then has a dryer to dry the cat litter. Hahaha! We have tried every self cleaning litter box on the market…but this one just looks to darn complicated.
