Cujo is our 6 month old basenji mix! He's super playful, intelligent, and handsome! We've been trying to figure out what he is mixed with, any guesses would be appreciated! He is only 20 lbs and doesn't seem to be getting any bigger.
He sure is cute no matter what—but this Basenji website is really good and I have gotten really good advice and really good input from all the people and their dogs...
Great photo?s!!!!
Nice to see some B?s I know!!! 😃
Ooooohhh how nice to see Razi and Gaia!!! (sooooo very nice people wich are friends of us… they're totally in loooovvvee with their B's!!! That's the people that set up the basenji meeting
well, not really a bed, but its what he uses, and its often times me! he has a nice big crate with two very large dog pillows in there, but no, laps and anything inconveniencing for me is a lovely place to nap. here are a few examples.
heating vents of course
strange place…
and of course, chow chows make wonderful warm fuzzy pillows!
I've been going up there my whole life (my great grandfather built the place after WWII), and it was great to finally get to share it with my husband and dog. Didn't expect the dog to like it so much, but it seemed to be really good for him. I think the sand exfoliated his skin and actually helped his allergy problems!
Hoping to go back soon, now that we're only 2.5 hours away in Lansing.
subaruthie,
That is a beautiful piece of property your family has - right on the beach! It's priceless!! WOW - lots of history in the cottage built by your Great Grandfather. It's old, but quite "grand". I like that it's tucked and blended into the landscape. Sounds like lots of firsts for your DH and Cooper! Only 2.5 hours away - I'd be there all summer! It is 3.5 hours from us in Livonia - 1 hour to Lansing. I used to ride the Dunes a lot when I had my Honda 3-wheeler. Haven't been there in 20 years and thought I'd let my son experience the Dunes. It's a one of a kind place to ride. I love-love the Lake Michigan coast. 😉 Thanks for sharing your pics - It was a wonderful weekend.
Hi Larka and Lucy, what a fun story about your adoption. I'm in the same boat as you – only three days a basenji owner and learning fast what it entails! Rowdy is also a rescue dog that a friend adopted for me and brought to me this past week. Rowdy is an interesting combination of mischief and gentleness.
