Mixes are so hard to tell, one mixing of the same mix of dogs(say basenji/fox terrier) can give you different looking dogs to another litter mix of the same type of dogs, sometimes characteristics of one dog comes out more than the other. At the dog park people have the same mix but they look quite different, then if one dog is a mix itself it gets even harder. I just think mixes are so interesting and think it would be interesting to find out through the DNA test they have. I suppose in some cases it leads to better understanding of your dog and it's needs. She is a nice looking dog and special whatever she is. I have yet to get a yodel just for me, even the cats have gotten one so you are lucky if she gives them freely.
Hope meets King - again
-
Well i have been introducing Hope to King, my 15hh QH
Shes not at all timid as we walk down the laneway with horses either side and thinks its all good fun, of course kept on a tight leash until she understands she cant enter their paddock. Most of the horses are dog savvy anyhow and wouldnt care but better safe then sorry
Heres some pics from last nights visit
*and the worried little look on her face in the first pic is cos its just hit wet season here and i made her walk thru water and mud puddles *giggle* she was finally at the stables, on dry land he he he*

Lovely pics of Hope and King.
Fancy making her walk in the wet
Malaika is a little wary of Horses as we don't come across them very often. She agrees with me that Horses are lovely , behind a fence -
Lovely pictures. My Basenjis get on well with horses and cattle (sheep too, if they don't run!!)

ha ha - yeah im trying to teach her that when a horse moves, it doesnt mean it wants to play with her (she however thinks, yay playtime!) My horse is a good boy though, he puts his head down to let her put her paws on his muzzle and to sniff each other etc - she likes to stand on her back legs alot
heres some more pics
still sorta a swamp until you get to the stables gotta love wet season
Hope tied up while i get the nag a feed

Great pictures!
Maxx loved horses. We introduced him to horses by picking him up and letting him sniff nosesβ¦which he promptly licked. From then on, whenever we were around horses, he wanted to be picked up so he could lick their noses...even when we came across some miniture horses, he still wanted to be picked up. We tried to tell him that he could reach their noses from ground level, but he insisted on being picked up!
