Cosmo in her snowsuit

  • :p Okay, don't laugh - I know it doesn't really "snow" in this part of the country (except on rare occasions…like 3 weeks ago) but it seems we've been getting more winter days of very cold temps (mid 20?F - 30?F) in the last few years.

I think Cosmo needs something to keep her warm when it gets this cold. She got this one-piece polartec windbloc suit but I just noticed that it does look kinda nice on her. :D

  • Looking good Cosmo!!

  • Cosmo looks cool, er i mean nice and warm :D

  • Looks great, and warm too. Where did you find it?

  • Looks very warm. (Okay, I have to admit, I laughed a little.) The hoods on dog clothes continue to amuse me. The should at least put slits in them for prick ear breeds. :p

  • I love it really looks warm were did you get the coat at?

  • I love that it covers so much these little horse blanket things just dont seem to work zoe is shaking the minute she steps out the door. I also would like to know where you got it and what size did you get for cosmo

  • That's the warmest looking dog outfit I've seen. I agree though that somebody ought to make hoodies with ear slits for our doggies. Wonder if anybody does and I just haven't found them yet?

  • Sorry i am laughing my butt off over here lol All i can think of is the Christmas Story with that little kid getting all tied up and can't get up :) Don't get me wrong She looks adorable in it :) But i can't help but laugh when i see dogs in clothes ;)

Got it at Bark and Stuff. It's also available in turtleneck. I chose the hoodie because I wanted her ears covered (on very cold days).

Regarding ear slits on the hoodies, I suppose you can ask Bark and Stuff if that can be done, since the lady who makes it customizes the suit.

I got her a medium size but provided them her exact sizes (i.e. height, chest, neck, etc.) because Cosmo's "stacked" :p:p:p (y'know - like Mae West and Betty Boop) so she's "large" in that part of her body. :D

I am not in your area, but ... you should know that dog training is about teaching you how to interact with your dog, as opposed to teaching your dog how to do things. Most area Kennel Clubs offer training where you are your dogs partner in the class. The things you will learn will last your lifetime. I applaud the non-punitive approach. A lot of people fly off the handle when their dog chews on the wrong thing, or doesn't quite have potty training down. One of the best things you can do is give them love when they do it right and don't react when they don't. Recognize that he's just a pup. You can trade an acceptable chew toy for your shoes, and you can avoid the problem by closing the closet door so your pup can't get to your shoes. Accidents will happen and learning to potty doesn't happen overnight. Just provide a lot of verbal love when the pup gets it right and don't react when he doesn't. Love and praise are the best tools in your training bag. Congrats on your pup. Can't wait to hear about all of your adventures!

Nice looking dog! I'm tempted to get another too once Safi is a bit older.

RV/Caravan places carry a non slip item for cabinets and such that could work wonderfully for you. I have used a similar product used as a base for rugs on hardwood floors as well. It washes up easily, too.
