Ibi_n_sane, have you reported them to web provider for violating copyright? In many cases this is the only way to get people to stop using copyrighted pictures.

You are right about the catahoula Great picture. That is about the coloring of our guy. They like basenji's come in many colors. Yes the leopard in the name is because of the spots. Our guy is about 24 inches at the withers and about 50 lbs. They are the state dog of louisana because they come from catahoula county. They go back to the explorer de soto who's bulldog bred with the local indian's dog and therefore became the catahoula. They act like basenji's in many ways. He is so tall when on his back legs nothing is beyond his reach anymore. They are not as of yet akc recognised. They are on the waiting list for approval. When we found out what he was, we did lots of research on the catahoula lepoard dog. They herd pigs and cattle. At the end of one research page we found the comment "if you like this kind of dog you also might like A BASENJI'. So now we have two basenj's and a large dog that very much acts like a basenji. Will forward pic's

While I-70 and I-75 seem to be the major cross-roads in my neck of the woods, I rarely get up that way. However, if you ever find yourself on I-675, I could wave to you from the bridge near my house:) "Shiny Hiney" …LOL..I'll remember that.:)

@saba: Very sad… Hollywood has a lot to answer for . Funny story here though... Our Australian early morning breakfast show was doing a story on the Chihuahua, (I cant remember what it was about...), and the female anouncer called them Chee hoo-a hoo-a :eek::o:o... Nothing was said, till after the next commercial break when the male presenter, (who looked like he knew she had really fluffed the pronounciation :D), came back on and apologised about the pronounciation of the breed, and it was called, Chihuahua... The naughty cameraman pans across to the female presenter, who was laughing so much, she had tears rolling down her face, and couldnt speak for about 10 minutes :D. I would love to have been in the studio when it had errupted into laughter about the way she had pronounced it :). NICE! I have a little Mexican hairless Chee hoo-a hoo-a! :D

@Janneke: I agree.. and I really like the Abyssinian, which is a cat that needs a lot of attentions and play.. These cats have also similar behaviour to Basenjis :). No wonder when this cat comes from Africa :D. I believe she would gets along with Tillo and wouldn't needs a partnership with another cat ;):).

@AJs: I loved Germany while I was there. I lived in Baden-Wurtemburg in the town of Schwaebisch Hall and then in Bayern in the town of Lengfeld just outside Wurzburg. There is no better place on earth to have a young baby. We once visit Wurzburg! We were sailing to Ochsenfurt am Main :D

Yes Rita Jean and Lenora, she's Cavalier King Charles. She was realy good for us, she had a bit of a play but slept most of the night. Tom our cat was realy kind to her but unfortunately Jerry wasn't and gave her a swipe. I felt awful as i didn't see it coming and she's such a sweet little thing. Can't believe the difference in getting a Basenji pup and this one. They just decided to get a Dog, searched for a pup and went to get her. I have to say that i think our way is best for the Dog.

I was not looking just I get email with info every week since I ask if he had ever worked with B's. I happen to see the collar and wanted to know what everyone thought about it. Thank you all for your thoughts. If I was going to get it then it would have been for the Akita. Rita Jean

At the risk of sounding like a broken record, try the Control Unleashed book. If you can, find a CU class. Pay close attention to the Look at That game.
