Hehehe, thanks you guys. I am much better today, altho Lou is still bothered. Yesterday, a neighbor 2 doors down had the same thing happen to her. I told her we filed a police report and she said she would as well. I know its low on the cops list, as they are so busy with other matters, but maybe we will get someone driving through a bit more often. Hugs to you all.

Love the sayings on the packages of condoms - hahahahahaha - and yes, humanity is terribly overpopulating the Earth.

Something similar was at a big dog show in my area a few years ago. The one I ran my dog through had an A-frame and tunnels as well as the jumps and tire. It was a blast!

I just love the pictures. There is nothing better to see (in real life) a horse just frolicking and running on their own. That is the way nature intended them to be. If I had horses like these I would be riding them too. I agree that riding is so very relaxing and is a lovely way to bond with your horse. There is nothing quite like it. I would still be riding if it not be for a stern warning from my ortho doc, who was involved with me when I had a really bad fall. Your property is very lovely. It must provide you with lots of peace and tranquility.

Just for fun….kids-at-heart, someone from Disney must have seen that commercial. A couple of weeks ago there was an episode of "Suite Life on Deck" that had seemingly scary aliens....that turned out to be fly-sized. Yeah, I'm in my 40's and I watch the Disney Channel sometimes, go figure???

I just wish they had mentioned where they were, my first thought was Alaska, but some of the other states have moose as well. Glad you all enjoyed this.

Nothing to report… he didn't show up on time, and I had to leave the house. My boyfriend was home and met him when he did come, a couple hours later. He had his two youngest kids with him, and they were on their way somewhere else, so he couldn't take his cars at the time but he's supposed to come back tomorrow morning. And instead of bringing us a puppy, he brought a pie... I wouldn't really characterize him as manipulative, but he does know I'm a softie. It is hard for me to say no unless I have good reason -- especially when I'm caught off guard, which is what happened when he first requested to bring his trucks over. I'm the type that has to steel myself before potentially awkward moments, but then I'll stick to my guns if I've made a firm decision beforehand. Like if he DOES try to push the puppy issue again, I won't have a problem refusing. But I think he got the message. Don't get me wrong, the guy has his merits too. He clearly loves his children, and does everything he can to make them happy. The question of what he's teaching his children about the disposability of pets is separate from how he raises his family. I plan on bringing up the puppies as casually as I can, something like, "Hey, I was at the pet store the other day [not really] and I got some info on cheap spaying clinics that I thought you might be interested in. Did you know [our city] gives huge discounts on spaying your pet? And then you don't have to go through the hassle of raising anymore puppies and finding homes for them… Or if you'd like some help adopting out the puppies, you can contact these folks." And I'll hand him a list of local rescues who will surely reiterate the spay and neuter schpiel IF he gets in touch. Etc. etc. He was actually trying to sell at least one of his cars before his family emergency came up. So he really does have a lot on his plate. The least I can do is offer to drive his pets to a spay appointment and whatnot... hell, I'm volunteering to do the same for local rescues. But the first move really does have to come from him, and I hope putting all the information in his hands will just make it easier.

Sharron, you're right. Knowledge is power. Right now, none of the plants I have are toxic. I am a stickler for that type of thing, because if it's not my animals getting sick, it could be someone elses, and I would never forgive myself. As for a b nipping off rose shoots, well… that would just mean that the rose would have no flowers! It might not look like it, but the yard/garden is maintained for the enjoyment of all of us - humans and pets. I love my garden, but I love my animals first.
