I would suggest as a breeder that you go for a male pup in your situation
I'd always recommend a new-comer to the breed to have a boy.
Duna…5 months.
Well…thanks a lot for helping me with sorting out the pics issue..
how's this for a start???
and this???
Aww she is lovely and what great scenery too:D
I'm fairly new as well. My boy, Moses (named because the basenji was brought up out of Egypt) is almost 6months. I adore this site and have received a lot of advice that works!
Enjoy!
Duna is a bella bambina!!!:D Which, by the way is my basenji's name. Except when I named her I forgot about the difference between male and female of "baby" and accidentally named her Bella Bambino! Oh well… just the same... beautiful anyway you spell it, LOL!!!

Yes i find this forum Fantastic too!! So helpful and full of advice as you say.
For BellaBasenji….Bambina is more to say child...whilst, for Baby, we might say Bimba, that makes you understand you are refering to a very small child, just as a baby. And as you know ,the final "A" is for a girl, and "O" is for a boy.:D
Ciao a Tutti:)
What lovely pictures and what a pretty girl!

Ahhhhh yes, bambino/bambina is such an appropriate name for a Basenji…. which is eternally "child-like" in nature!!!;)
